Introduced in 2003, The Elite Team (ages 14–15) is the third year in the City Kids program and is one of the most physically challenging years in the program. Youth spend three weeks out west, with two of those weeks spent in the backcountry, backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains and kayaking in Yellowstone. Youth have worked hard to prepare for this longer expedition and learn many important skills about perseverance, leadership and teamwork throughout their intensive wilderness experience. Along the way the group explores historic sites, cultural exhibits, and national parks.
